Parsons Events is now Bollerang House

New name, a deeper story, and the same team you trust

If you’ve visited our venue before, booked an event with us, or followed our journey over the last few years, you might have noticed something different. Parsons Events has a new name, and we’re excited to share the story behind it with you.

Welcome to Bollerang House.

Why the Change?

Change isn’t something we take lightly. Parsons Events was established to serve our community, hosting weddings, corporate conferences, milestone birthdays, school formals, and celebrations of all kinds. But as our venue evolved and our vision became clearer, we realised our name wasn’t telling the full story of who we are and what we offer.

We heard from couples who loved our venue but hesitated because they associated the Parsons name primarily with our sister business, H Parsons Funerals. We spoke with corporate clients who thought we were an event planning company rather than a stunning venue. We listened to feedback that our branding didn’t capture the natural beauty and romantic atmosphere that makes our space so special.

Most importantly, we wanted a name that honoured the land on which we stand and the rich cultural heritage of this region.

It was time for a change that reflected our true identity

The Story Behind Bollerang House

A row of white buildings is surrounded by trees and fields, with a road in front and hills covered in greenery in the background under a cloudy sky.

Honouring the land and its heritage

Bollerang House draws its name from the pristine Bollerang Creek that flows near our venue in Wandandian, connecting us to the rich Indigenous heritage of this beautiful region.

The creek’s name originates from “Boorooboroo,” the Aboriginal word used by the local Indigenous people in the early 1800s to describe this waterway and the surrounding landscape. When Surveyor General Robert Dixon conducted the first official surveys of the area, he respectfully adapted this Indigenous name into “Bollerang Creek,” preserving the cultural significance of the land in the official record.

Today, Bollerang House continues this tradition of honouring the deep connection between place and people, celebrating the enduring Aboriginal heritage whilst creating new memories in this naturally stunning location.

This name isn’t just a label. It’s a commitment to respecting the land we’re privileged to occupy, acknowledging the thousands of years of history that came before us, and ensuring that cultural significance remains part of our story moving forward. Read more about us.

What’s Changing?

Our evolution

Our Name
Parsons Events has become Bollerang House. It’s clearer, more distinctive, and immediately communicates that we’re a venue, not a service.

Our Branding
Our new visual identity reflects the natural beauty of our surroundings. Earthy greens, warm neutrals, and elegant typography capture the essence of countryside elegance meets modern sophistication.

Our Website
We’ve built a brand new website at www.bolleranghouse.com.au that showcases our venue, tells our story, and makes it easy for you to explore everything we offer. From virtual tours to detailed pricing, it’s designed to help you imagine your celebration here.

Our Positioning
We’re now clearly positioned as a boutique wedding, corporate events and functions venue in the heart of the Shoalhaven. No more confusion about what we do or what we offer.

What’s NOT Changing?

The heart of Bollerang House

Here’s what’s absolutely staying the same, because these are the things that make us who we are:

Your Favourite Local Team
Every member of our team is still here. The coordinators who know how to calm pre wedding nerves. The chefs who create magic with local produce. The staff who remember your name and your preferences. We’re the same people, bringing the same passion and dedication to every event.

Our Beautiful Venue
The space you fell in love with hasn’t changed. The ceremony area beneath the pines. The elegant reception space with moody lighting. The outdoor patio where guests gather under the stars. The natural beauty that makes this place special. It’s all still here, waiting for your celebration.

Our Commitment to Excellence
Our dedication to creating unforgettable celebrations hasn’t wavered. We’re still obsessed with the details. Still committed to personalised service. Still passionate about exceeding expectations.

Our Community Connection
we remain deeply committed to our local Shoalhaven community. Supporting local suppliers, giving back through community initiatives, and being good stewards of this land, these values are core to who we are.

Our Capacity and Capabilities
We still accommodate up to 150+ seated guests. We still offer state of the art AV technology, premium in house catering by Apple Tree Catering, and dedicated event coordination. All the things that make hosting your event here seamless and stress free remain exactly as they were.

Our Values Haven’t Changed

Authenticity, Community, Excellence

These three words guided us through this rebrand, and they’ll continue to guide everything we do at Bollerang House.

Authenticity means being genuine in every interaction, transparent in our pricing, and true to the character of this place. It means honouring Indigenous heritage respectfully, not as a marketing angle, but as a meaningful acknowledgment of whose land we occupy.

Community means staying deeply rooted in the Shoalhaven. It means choosing local suppliers, supporting regional businesses, and giving back to the place that gives us so much. It means being more than just a venue, being a neighbour and a partner in this community’s success.

Excellence means never settling for “good enough.” It means coordinating every detail, anticipating every need, and ensuring every celebration exceeds expectations. It means investing in our people, our facilities, and our service because you deserve the very best.

Looking Forward

THE NEXT CHAPTER BEGINS

This rebrand isn’t just about a new name or a fresh coat of paint. It’s about clarity. It’s about honouring heritage. It’s about positioning ourselves to serve you better.

It’s about ensuring that when someone asks, “Where should we hold our wedding?” or “Where can we host our conference?” or “Where should we celebrate Mum’s 60th?”, the answer is clear and compelling: Bollerang House.

We’re excited about this new chapter, and we’re even more excited to write it with you. Every wedding we host. Every corporate event we coordinate. Every birthday, anniversary, and celebration we help create. Each one becomes part of the Bollerang House story.
